Emerging Leader – Professional Development Program

GV Regional Training Hub is pleased to offer sponsorship for 3 regional doctors to undertake the AMA Emerging Leader Professional Development Program.

This program supports ‘the next generation of doctors’ (PGY1-PGY8+) to transition effectively into their roles in different health services and other specialty/practice settings. A key focus of the program is to support doctors to develop their leadership identity and a strong skill base for enacting leadership in their everyday work.

DATES: Two intakes offered in 2022 (May) & (October/November)

TIME COMMITMENT: 11.5 hours of learning delivered in a facilitated online group setting with other doctors including 4 modules and 1 tutorial over 5-8 weeks.

Selection of successful applicants will be based on:

• Current geographical location
• Alignment of intent to rural practice
• Support from current Health Service (your current employer)
