NEMEN – Mr Andrew Gogos

The North East Medical Education and Networking (NEMEN) events are regular opportunities for professionals in the Hume region to learn from experts that reside in or consult in the region. Each forum will present a different topic, at a different location, and is a great chance to network with your colleagues whilst broadening your knowledge.
This event will feature a presentation by Mr Andrew Gogos on brain tumours, skull base surgery & nerve pain.
Mr Andrew Gogos is a neurosurgeon and spine surgeon based in Melbourne with a special interest in brain tumours and skull base surgery. Mr Gogos obtained fellowship of the Royal Australasia College of Surgeons after training in major neurosurgical centres across Australia. In 2019-20 he completed sub-specialist training in brain tumour and skull base surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, with training in the latest techniques including awake craniotomy, brain mapping, and minimally invasive endoscopic approaches.
Mr Gogos has a strong interest in brain tumour research and has published over 20 peer reviewed publications. He has presented this work at conferences in Australia, Europe and the United States of America and is work has received numerous awards and grants. Mr Gogos also serves as a reviewer for multiple scientific and neurosurgical journals and is a member of the Neurosurgical Society of Australia’s Research Committee. Mr Gogos is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons and a member of the Neurosurgical Society of Australia, American Association of Neurological Surgeons, Society of Neuro-Oncology and the Cooperative trials Group for Neuro-Oncology.
